Tool 02 Filing Deadline Tracker

The dates that actually matter.

Federal, New York State, and New York City filing deadlines for the entities we work with. Dates auto-advance each year with weekend shifts applied. Filter by what applies to you.

Dates auto-advance each year with weekend shifts applied. Federal holiday shifts are not modeled; confirm any date that lands next to a holiday.

    How these dates are generated

    Methodology

Each deadline starts from its canonical statutory date (for example, March 15 for calendar-year 1065 and 1120S returns) and rolls forward automatically each January. If a canonical date lands on a Saturday or Sunday, the tracker shifts it to the next business day. The list includes federal, New York State, and New York City filings for the entity types we work with, NY PTET quarterly estimates (March, June, September, and December 15), and NYC UBT returns (NYC-204 on March 15, NYC-202 on April 15).

    Limitations

    • Federal holiday shifts are not modeled. A date that lands next to a federal or DC holiday (for example, Emancipation Day) can move in ways this list does not capture. Confirm any date adjacent to a holiday.
    • Disaster-relief postponements, state-specific rule changes, short-year returns, and fiscal-year entities are not reflected. Fiscal-year deadlines differ.
    • Extension dates assume a timely filed extension; they are filing extensions, not payment extensions.
    • This list is maintained on an annual review cycle and may lag mid-year changes. It is a reference, not advice; confirm every deadline that matters against IRS, NYS, and NYC publications or with your tax professional.
